HISTORY / OVERVIEW

Gamma counter became widely adopted with the development of Radioimmunoassay. Although many laboratories now use non-radioactive immunoassay technologies, gamma counters remain important in facilities performing radioimmunoassays, nuclear medicine research, and selected clinical and pharmaceutical applications.
